The Iceberg
When Sibon Phiri first reached out to us with her innovative social enterprise idea, we knew we were about to dive into deeper challenges beneath the surface. Sibon’s goal was to bridge the gap between the community and legal help, making it accessible anytime, any day. Imagine needing legal advice but having to take time off work, book appointments, and then wait—that’s what Sibon was determined to change. We were excited to be part of this mission to make a real difference.
The Destination
With a clear vision in sight, our journey with Sibon began by tackling her primary challenge: creating a platform to deliver her services. Together, we charted the path to success, ensuring that a robust branding strategy and a user-friendly website with a ticketing system would set her enterprise on the right course.
Embarkation
Our journey with Sibon began with a key meeting between her and Lester, our branding captain and web navigator. They dove into her vision, understanding the importance of creating a platform for immediate legal help. After several chats, they pinpointed the need for a solid branding foundation and a well-designed website to get the project off the ground.
Sailing
With a clear destination, we launched into the design and development process, navigating the complexities to create a seamless user experience. The waters weren’t always calm, but our determination kept us on course.
We kicked things off with thorough planning sessions to understand Sibon’s vision and the unique challenges her social enterprise faced. From there, we crafted detailed blueprints and prototypes to visualize the website’s structure and user flow, ensuring it would be both functional and user-friendly (we promise there were no stick figure drawings involved). At the same time, we developed a branding strategy that truly reflected the heart of Sibon’s social enterprise. This included creating the brand name, United Legal Access.
As the project progressed, we refined the design through several iterations, incorporating Sibon’s feedback and tackling any hurdles that came up. Leveraging WordPress, we built a responsive, robust, and easy-to-navigate website, using various tools and plugins to enhance its functionality. A major milestone was integrating a user-friendly ticketing system that allowed users to book appointments and seek legal advice conveniently (like booking a table at your favourite restaurant, but for legal advice).
We conducted thorough user testing to identify potential issues and ensure a smooth user experience, fine-tuning the platform based on real user feedback. Finally, the website went live, marking the successful completion of our journey. But our commitment didn’t stop there. We continued to provide ongoing maintenance, keeping the platform in top shape with regular updates, security checks, and performance optimisations.
Branding
To set the right course, we developed a branding strategy that truly reflected the heart of Sibon’s social enterprise. One of the pivotal moments was the creation of the brand name, United Legal Access, which perfectly captured the essence of Sibon’s vision to make legal help accessible for everyone.
We aimed for a brand identity that felt approachable, trustworthy, and professional—something that would resonate with the community and build confidence among those seeking legal help. The logo itself is a thoughtful design, representing two people shaking hands to symbolise community and cooperation, while also resembling a smiley face to convey friendliness and positivity. From the logo to the colour scheme and visual identity, every element was meticulously crafted to ensure a cohesive and impactful brand presence.
Web Design
Our web design journey was all about creating a visually engaging and intuitive interface that would guide users effortlessly through the platform. Key features included a ticketing system, making it easy for users to seek legal advice whenever they needed. We made sure the website was optimised for both desktop and mobile devices, providing a smooth and seamless experience across all platforms.

Website Maintenance
Once the website was launched, our crew didn’t abandon ship. We provided ongoing web maintenance to ensure the platform remained in shipshape condition. Regular updates, security checks, and performance optimisations are carried out to keep the website running smoothly and efficiently.
Anchoring Success
Through collaboration and creativity, we launched a solid platform for United Legal Access. This mix of strong branding and a well-crafted website bridged the gap between the community and legal help. It was like a legal lifebuoy thrown into the sea of paperwork! Together, we tackled the challenges and achieved our goal, making a meaningful impact.
We may not have had party poppers to mark the occasion (though we were tempted), but we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built. And while we can’t take credit for solving all of life’s legal puzzles, we can certainly say we’ve made them a bit easier to piece together.
